Houston Sports Organization Leads Pro Basketball Tour in China

HOUSTON, August 28, 2007 - To God be the Glory Sports, a non-profit sports outreach group based in Houston, will lead a group of professional basketball players on a 10 city tour in China from September 7-30, 2007. The tour will mark TGBTG Sports' 12 pro basketball tour in China since 2000.

The team will play some of the top teams in the Chinese Basketball Association as well as teams visiting China from Korea and Russia. The TGBTG team will play games in growing basketball markets including Jincheng, Xiangyin, Lianyuan, Quzhou, Hangzhou, Jiaxing, and Pinghu.

“We are excited about our growth and presence in the Chinese sports community, and we look forward to another successful tour,” said Cyril White, founder and managing director of TGBTG Sports. “Our aim is to enhance the good relationships we have established, and to put more of our top players into the Chinese Basketball Association.”

TGBTG Sports recently acquired 6 acres of real estate in the Songshan mountains in Dengfeng, China with a 177,000 square foot sports complex on it. White plans to develop strategic partnerships with government officials and the CBA to transform the property into a worldwide sports culture center for athletes to come to China and train.

“Our basketball tours have established our brand and our commitment to doing good business in China,” said White, who is also building a sports center in Houston, Texas near Hobby Airport. “Both of our sports facilities will serve the purpose of building up the lives of young athletes and promoting international goodwill.”

At the end of the tour, the TGBTG team will spend 2 days in Beijing, where White will do a book signing for fans that purchased a copy of his recent book on China basketball tours entitled “MEI GUO JIAO LIAN – THE AMERICAN COACH”.
