HOUSTON BUSINESS REVIEW
Houston Business Show at El Tiempo
By HBR Staff
See a slide show of this exciting event.
The Houston Business Show (M-F at 11 AM on CNN 650) enjoyed its first remote and it enjoyed great reviews. Excellent food and Extreme Networking highlighted this event. Why was it extreme? In addition to having the opportunity to share cards and contacts with the huge crowd that attended, many had the opportunity to share with the thousands that tuned in online and on the radio.
Host Kevin Price and Guest Co-Host, Calvin Brown, spoke with dozens of attendees who had the opportunity to tell their story. Many noted that they had gone to great networking events before, but none that allowed people to reach so many in such a short time frame.
Great photos for the event were provided by Andy Valadez of Marketing Dynamics and he did an excellent job. Also, Jim O’Neill of Lone Star Sound produced fantastic videos that will soon be posted online at HoustonBusinessShow.com.
Many organizations helped to promote the event including the Houston West Chamber of Commerce, Houston Networking News, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and many others.
Kathy Bowersox of Quantum Leap Executive Coaching said “this was a fantastic event that people will look forward to in the future.” Donald Leonard of ReMax Northwest Territory said “this event is great for business.” Roland D. Laurenzo, President of El Tiempo noted an increase in business and a very happy crowd, saying “Thanks so much… I appreciate the hard work.” Jessica Colon of the national Young Republicans and a regular guest on Fox News and Fox Business said it “was a great event that she was proud to be a part of.”

We had a drawing for four books, including two by marketing consultant David Whitfield (Beyond Service Lies the Experience), and two by Steve Chandler and Sam Beckford (100 Ways to Create Wealth and The Small Business Millionaire). We also had a DVD featuring Ken Marsh of Fearless Networking entitled How to Fearlessly Network for New Business Development). Finally, we gave away a $500 advertising package to one of our lucky participants. Find out about our winners here. (provide link to next article).
All in all, it was a great event and we thank the many of you who attended.
